Wyong Writes  # 1

May 23 - 25, 2025

Wyong Writes provides an opportunity for local playwrights to have their work produced in a prominent theatre space. We hope that in future years we'll be able to feature the work of a number of writers.

This - our first Wyong Writes at the Red Tree - will feature two One Act plays; one written by Sally Bartley, produced by WDG; the other a locally written play, yet to be announced, produced by Red Tree Theatre

'Walk a Mile' by Sally Bartley

Directed by Ron Baker

Synopsis: Alex and Sophia are hosting dinner with friends Ray and Fiona, but Sophia is less than keen. She's getting hot flushes and is really not too fond of the younger Fiona. Alex can't seem to put a step right. When the guests arrive, the arguments begin and it looks as though the women will never find common ground.
